Cassis

Our tour started through Marseille, but all I'll remember is construction equipment ... the city has been chosen as one of a rotating group of European showcase cities for 2013 and the Vieux Port is little more than a gravel pit.

Fortunately, we drove over a massif and down to the seaside village of Cassis. Take a breath and imagine a cote d'azure village ... THAT is Cassis.

After strolling the coblestone streets and beach, we settled into a seaside cafe and enjoyed some local wine.

Dinner on board this evening. We'll awaken in St Tropez.

  2. Sounds amazing. I'm following your progress this morning on google maps and see the massif you drove over - must have been very picturesque. I also found pictures of Port-Miou. Is that where the cafe is that you stopped at? -very impressive.

  3. St Tropez? Sounds like a Floyd song from the Meddle album.
